The Seagull is named for its distinctive shape when viewed from Brighton. Its shape has also earned it the "3 Chute" moniker and less creative folks call it the Tuscarora East Chute. The entrance to The Seagull is at the top of Mount Tuscarora. The Seagull starts off steep, moderates, and the spills into a large apron above Lake Mary.

Getting to the Seagull

To get to The Seagull from Brighton, ride the Milly chairlift, exit the Milly backcountry gate, boot up the ridge to the summit of Mount Millicent, and ski down the ridge toward Wolverine Bowl. When you reach the low point on the ridge (just above Tuna Chute), put on your skins and traverse across the bottom of Wolverine Bowl (at about tree-line and as shown in this photo) to Mount Tuscarora. The Seagull starts at the top of Mount Tuscarora.
