The Bombay chute is a little wider than some of the other Wolverine Chutes (well, it is significantly wider than its neighbor to the west, Tips & Tails). It has a mild dogleg to the left about halfway down that isn't noticeable in this photo, but you'll see it from the top.

Acknowledging the idiosyncrasies of measuring the angle of snow, Bombay averages a consistent 43°.

Getting to Bombay

Follow the directions to the top of Patsey Marley from the Grizzly Gulch trailhead. Then head toward Mount Wolverine along the rim of the cirque while being wary of cornices. You will pass a small, steep unnamed chute, the wide Huge Chute, the narrow Tips & Tales, and then arrive at the top of Bombay. It has a slightly wider entrance and a bend to the left about halfway down. Have fun!
