The slopes northeast of Circle All Peak are referred to as the Butler Trees. This is the primary descent from Circle All. (The skin track to the summit of Circle All goes up the lookers right side of the Butler Trees.)

The Butler Trees are relatively wide. You can pick your line by seeking less-tracked snow. If you get too far to the skier's right, you can end up above steep banks into the Butler Fork drainage.

Getting to Butler Trees

Follow the directions to the top of Circle All Peak.

About the name

The Butler Trees are in lower Butler Fork which was named after Neri Butler who build a mill "some distance up its confines in 1880."
