The Bowman Fork drainage is a subdrainage on the east side of lower Porter Fork. It is a convenient way to get to White Fir Pass.

Bowman Fork is not very skiable, it is “v” shaped and has quite a bit of brush and deadfall, but you can snowplow down the up-track if you are returning from White Fir Pass.

Getting to Bowman Fork

From the Porter Fork trailhead, follow the cabin road for approximately 15 minutes to signs mentioning lots 1B and 4B. Take that driveway, on your left, which switches back and heads into Bowman Fork. (You can also bear left before these cabins, but if you go much past them, you'll end up getting drawn into Porter Fork, on your right.)

You can also get to Bowman Fork from the Terraces trailhead.
