Davenport Hill is located on the ridge that separates Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. When viewed from Big Cottonwood Canyon, Davenport is at the top of Silver Fork. When viewed from Little, it is near the entrance to Grizzly Gulch. Davenport is a landmark when accessing Down and Out, Cabin Ridgeline, Easy Does It, and the East Bowl, all of which are in Silver Fork.

It is a little surprising that the peak to the west of Davenport (i.e., the peak that is between Flagstaff Mountain and Davenport Hill) is more than 100 feet taller than Davenport, yet it remains unnamed.

Getting to Davenport Hill

Follow the directions to East Bowl Pass from the Grizzly Gulch trailhead. From the East Bowl Pass, head left (west) for about 0.25 mile.
