Neffs Canyon is nestled between Mill Creek Canyon (to the north) and Mount Olympus (to the south). Norths Fork and Thomas Fork both branch to the right (south) from Neffs. Mill B Pass connects the top of Neffs Canyon with Mill B North Fork in Big Cottonwood Canyon (which ends at the S-Turn). Neffs Canyon is in the Mount Olympus Wilderness area where helicopters are not permitted.
Neffs' low elevation means the snow is often questionable, but its proximity to the Salt Lake valley makes it a worthy locale. Neffs (and Norths Fork) can also be used as an exit after skiing the Memorial Couloirs on the back side of Tolcats Couloir, but the trees are tight near the bottom of Norths and it can be easier to come back up-and-over the Tolcats saddle.
Starting at 3900 South Wasatch Boulevard (just north of Dan's Market), wind your way to the back of Olympus Cove. The large trailhead parking lot is near 4326 White Way.
